OUR CEO :
Kirit Patel-MBE, CEO of the Day Lewis Group, is one of the key players in the pharmacy
profession. He is a past Treasurer of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
of Great Britain and past chairman of the board of the National Pharmaceutical
Association, an organisation representing the interests of some 11,000
pharmacies in the United Kingdom. He was awarded an
MBE by Her Royal Highness in 2005 and also was a member of the prestigious Small
Business Council of the Department of Trade and Industry.
OUR ACTIVITIES:
The Day Lewis Group is involved in retail and wholesale
pharmaceutical business in UK and also supplies medicines and medical
equipment to oil rigs and shipping. The activities of the pharmacies are
supported by a Head Office in Croydon, which is also the base for
its warehouse operation. The Group has steadily grown over the last 25
years and has increased from 28 pharmacies in the early 1990's to just
over 160 in 2007. Day Lewis Pharmacies cater to the needs of
the local community and apart from dispensing prescriptions and pharmacist
advice they offer a wide range of other products and services.
OUR ETHOS:
Day Lewis has been accredited as an 'Investor in People',
which is a nationally recognised benchmark against which companies are
assessed for the quality of their training and for putting the development
of people at the heart of their business strategy. The company has managed
to retain it's 'family' culture, which was crucial in the early days of
it's development.
